Moorends Mysteries

During Summer 2022, artists Tony Wade, Bev Adams and Charlie Wells worked with young people at the Thorne Moorends Miners Welfare, to create a performance based on local history and stories from their area. Participants used shadow puppetry, physical theatre, dance, music and prop making and visual arts to create their performance for an audience of family and local people. In the autumn, Tony and Charlie returned to make halloween inspired lanterns to decorate the halloween event at the centre.
